We are pleased to offer ‘Ladakh to Stok Trek’ which give you the chance to explore the number of amazing places and monasteries around Leh including the Leh Palace, Shey and Hemis monasteries. Ladakh’s tourist attractions also include the site of snow clad peaks, translucent lakes, barren terrain etc.
Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi - Arrival
On arrival at the Delhi airport, our representative will meet you at the airport, transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. In the evening you can explore the nightlife of Delhi. Stay the night at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi
In the morning after breakfast, proceed for city tour city tour of New Delhi and Old Delhi which covers Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Parliament House, India Gate, Humayun Tomb and Qutub Minar. In the evening revisit Red Fort to witness the impressive light and sound show. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Delhi – Leh
On arrival at Delhi airport, take flight to Leh. Upon arrival in Leh, check-in at the hotel and have the breakfast. Rest day is free just relax and keep your body to adjust the high altitude. In the evening, visit Shanti Stupa, it is located from 5 kilometers away from the Leh, it was constructed by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura in 1991 and it was inaugurated by the 14th Dalai Lama. Later visit Chowkang monastery and local market then return to hotel in the evening for dinner and Stay.
Day 4: Leh
In the morning after breakfast proceed to visit Thiksey Gompa, monastery exhibits the gold-plated statue of Lord Buddha, called the Maitreya Buddha. Also visit the Indus Valley Monastery. Then return to the Leh. Post lunch visit the beautiful Stok Palace that lies on the bank opposite to Tsangspo River. Spend night at the hotel.
Day 5: Leh Sightseeing
Post breakfast in the morning, embark on a full day sightseeing tour of Leh which include Shey monastery, famous for A 12 meter high copper statue of Gautam Buddha which is gold plated and covers three stories in the building is the main attraction of this Palace.
Later, proceed to Thiksey, one of the largest monasteries in Ladakh. Last but not the least, you’ll have to visit Hemis Monastery, Tibetan monastery is the one of the biggest in Ladakh which is located approximately 45 kilometers from Ladakh. The existence of this monastery was before 11th century but it was rebuilt 1672. The honour of Lord Padmasambhava. Return to the hotel at late evening. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6: Leh – Spituk – Zinchen
After early morning breakfast, proceed to Spituk. On a small hill, overlooking the airfield and the Indus, it is one of the most spectacular place in Ladakh. On reaching Spituk visit the Spituk Gomp, buit over an earlier 11th century. Lather start trekking along the Indus River to reach Zinchen which will take around 4 hours to reach. While trekking to Zinchen, we will cross a couple of streams and nearby villages. On arrival at Zinchen, set your camp here. Rest day is free at leisure, just explore the breathtaking locations. Later, Have your dinner and overnight stay in the Camp.
Day 7: Zincehn – Rumbak
Post breakfast, proceed for Rumbak while continue trekking to the path that leads away from the river. Upon reaching Rumbak, check in to the camp. After dinner, overnight stay at camp.
Day 8: Rumbak – Stok La Pass
This morning after breakfast, star trekking towards Stok La Pass through the sharp and zigzag path up to Stokla. From the top, capture the breathtaking view of the Snow Leopard Kingdom on your right, besides the imposing Indus valley and huge Himalayas. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the tents.
Day 9: Stok La Pass – Stok – Leh
Post breakfast, proceed for trek descending down in the valley. Descend down all the way to Stok village. While passing through the Stok village pass by various ruins of old forts and castles and the wonderful huge mountains. After visiting the Stok Palace, drive straight to Leh. Stay the night at the hotel.
Day 10: Leh – Delhi
After early morning breakfast, transfer to the Leh airport to board a flight for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi airport, meet our representative for assistance on arrival at the Delhi airport. Check in to the pre booked hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11: Delhi
In the morning after breakfast, transfer to the Delhi airport to board a flight for your onward destination. We trust you have enjoyed your trip and look forward to organizing your next tour with us.
